Social Networks - A Blessing in Disguise!

· covid-19,coronavirus,stay home,social distancing,easter 2020

It's Good Friday and as the world turns, the universe is full of people who are preparing to celebrate the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. While Easter is a holiday, that traditionally, increases attendance at church events and brings joy and glee to children, who anticipate decorating boiled eggs, waking up to baskets filled with special chocolates, taking photo's with people in bunny suits, and running with images of animated bunnies, hopping around with their imaginations, running wild, let's all make sure we don't lose sight of the fact that there are many people who are mourning the loss of loved ones, due to COVID-19.

In New York, a trench has been dug at Hart Island, a historically, mass grave, and is being filled with the unclaimed bodies of people who have died from the spread of the coronavirus.

In Michigan, a Pastor & his son, died within 3 days of each other after catching the virus. In an event of preventing the spread of the coronavirus the wife of the Pastor, who is also the mother of the son, has been mandated to attend their burial from her car.

Of course, we are all living in a very disheartening time, where unthinkable things are happening by the second. Globally, we are all being challenged to stay home, stay clean, and stay safe, for the health and well-being of people all around the world, even and especially more, on holidays and at times, when many are accustomed to physical gatherings. It is important to remember, through the use of electronics, i.e., mobile devices we are all equipped with the capabilities of communing and communicating, with the touch of a button.

At Collins & Ziegler, Inc., we are doing our best to help others help themselves, to help others.

Using the Nextdoor app, I was able to immediately respond to the request of neighbors in my area and I set-up a blood drive, with the American Red Cross, for those who presented the idea.

The NextDoor app, is a viable way to reach out to and check on, the people who live near you, but aren't connected to you on your social networks (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat, Whatsapp, YouTube, etc.). Social networks, are a key, to stay connected to community, address concerns, share information, and help ensure the safety of your neighborhood.

We should all be much more appreciative of the idea of "The Social Network", thanks to Mark Zuckerberg, for using his imagination to create a global freeway, that gives us the power to travel and go anywhere we want to go, send a message to anyone we want to speak to, share life, turn the cost of our overheads off, open our business online, and simply access new ways to learn! I'm sure we are all distance learning, to "Think Like Zuck"!

I hope and pray, we are all being inspired to do more than we've ever done before, using technology as our advantage! Thank God, churches all over the world are using streaming services to provide virtual services. To attend live church services or visit Christian World Media, to attend live church services.

Remember, Stay Home, Stay Clean, Stay Safe, and Let's Stay Socially Distanced!
